Jeffrey H. Bloom, D.O.
I was born Oct. 27th, 1964 in Montreal, Canada. My family moved here in 1969 to Southern California.
I grew up in LA and the San Fernando Valley. I graduated with a BS in Biological Sciences from UCLA in 1986. I received my DO degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri in 1992 where I finished in the top 20% of my class.
I completed a Family Practice 3-yr. residency in 1995 at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach in Long Beach, CA.
I practiced for 4 years in a Family Practice and Sports Medicine clinic in West Covina, CA before joining a joint Family/Sports Medicine and Internal Medicine/Age Management practice at Back Bay Medical Group in Newport Beach, CA from 2000 to the present.
For the past 6 years, I have been an active board member of OPSC (Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California) including serving as president of the state-wide association from 2008-2009.
I am a board-certified osteopathic family physician who practices OMT (Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy) which involves using back manipulation similar to Chiropractic to help relieve back and neck joint pains from acute and chronic illnesses. I also, perform non-surgical cosmetic and 'rejuvenative" medicine that includes the use of Botox, cosmetic fillers, and hormone replacement therapy.
I am also a past president of the Orange County Osteopathic Medical Association from 1998-2001.
My hobbies include weight-training and distance running. I have completed a few 10-K races including the grueling Mud Run at Camp Pendleton in the past year.
I have a beautiful wife of 5 years, Samantha and two wonderful children, Tabitha (age 4) and Taylor (age 2)...We currently reside in Huntington Beach.
